MOSCOW, November 9th. / TASS /. The continuation of Russian gas supplies to Belarus in 2022 will create conditions for new large joint projects, said Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov after signing the agreement on the regulation of the price of natural gas for Belarus by December 31, 2022.
“We are working closely to lay the foundations for the creation of common energy markets, with the respective Union’s integrated market programs signed and enforced. I am confident that unlocking the potential in the energy sector will make education possible. “Groundbreaking conditions for economic cooperation and the implementation of new major joint projects,” he said.
“According to the signed document, gas supplies will continue in 2022, while the gas price for the Republic of Belarus will be fixed until December 31, 2022,” said the Russian ministry.
The exact level of the gas price will be determined in a joint document with Gazprom PJSC, assuming the terms of 2021, said the Belarusian Ministry of Energy.
The Republic’s Energy Minister Viktor Kararankevich previously said that Minsk expects the price of Russian gas to stay at $ 128.5 per 1,000 cubic meters in 2022. The heads of government of the two countries have instructed the energy ministries to hold talks and the protocol on prices for the supply of gas for Minsk and its transport.
