MINSK, September 7th (BelTA) – A representative business delegation from Brest Oblast, led by Deputy Chairman of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee, Dmitry Gorodetsky, hosted Bulgaria on April 4-7. September a visit. The visit was organized with the support of the Belarusian embassy, BelTA learned from the diplomatic mission.
The Belarusian delegation took part in the Chirpan Economic Forum 2021 and presented the Brest region. On the fringes of the forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Brest Oblast’s Association of Entrepreneurs, Employers and Craftsmen and the Stara Zagora Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The delegation also held talks with foreign partners to discuss ways of developing cooperation in trade, investment, industry and tourism.
During the visit, the Belarusian delegation visited Plovdiv, Burgas and Stara Zagora, the main economic centers of Bulgaria, and held talks with the governors of the Burgas, Plovdiv and Stara Zagora regions. Discussions focused on ways to foster links between the regions of the two countries in a wide variety of areas, most notably trade and business. The parties also agreed to intensify the interaction in tourism, sport, culture and youth exchanges.
The Belarusian business delegation visited a number of companies in the Plovdiv and Stara Sagora regions in order to establish mutually beneficial business cooperation.
The Belarusian ambassador to Bulgaria Aleksandr Lukashevich, the Belarusian honorary consul in Burgas Atanas Popov and the Belarusian honorary consul in Plovdiv Krasimir Shalev also took part in the events.
